RSNSW Publishing Committee

Purpose

The purpose of the Publishing Committee is to lead the Publishing Program of the Society on behalf of Council. The Publishing Program aims to foster learned debate and research in the community through the provision of publication media, to provide Society members with information about relevant activities and achievements of interest occurring in the Society and the wider community, to promote awareness of the Society and its activities, and to provide an archive of scholarly activity and events conducted by the Society.

RSNSW and Learned Academies Forum Committees

Purpose

On behalf of the Council, the RSNSW and Learned Academies Forum Committees lead the planning and program development for the Annual Forum held at Government House, Sydney, in partnership with Australia’s Learned Academies. The Program is designed to draw together, in one day, authoritative voices from the natural, technological, medical, and social sciences, and the humanities, to consider high-impact issues in a way that will inform Australian public policy and public opinion in the decades ahead.

There are two committees: the Planning Committee which attends to logistic arrangements, and the Program Committee which develops the Forum Program and recruits eminent speakers.

RSNSW Philanthropy Committee

Purpose

The purpose of the Philanthropy Committee (formerly the Fundraising Committee) is to lead the Philanthropy Program of the Society on behalf of Council. The Philanthropy Program is designed to ensure the Society’s financial security and the availability of resources to expand the Society’s operations and reach.
