About the Award

The RSNSW Award in Computer Science or Information Technology was established by Council in 2025 to reflect the full scope of the Society’s values. It will be awarded for the first time in 2026.

It is awarded for distinguished research in Computer Science and Information Technology, including recent subdisciplines such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security and existing areas of computer science and information technology more generally. Recipients may be resident in Australia or elsewhere.
