RSNSW 2023 Annual Dinner and Presentation of Awards

This year's Annual Dinner and Presentation of Awards will be held in Sydney Modern, the brand-new building at the Art Gallery of New South Wales designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa of the Tokyo-based firm SANAA.

The vision for the Sydney Modern Project is to transform the Gallery into a museum campus connecting people through a seamless relationship between art, architecture, and landscape. This resonates with the Society’s vision.  Interestingly, in 1878, the Gallery and the Society shared premises at 5 Elizabeth Street in Sydney.

The after-dinner address will be given by Steven Miller, Head of the National Archive and Capon Research Library at the Gallery. He has published widely on art and his latest book The Exhibitionists – A History of Sydney’s Art Gallery of New South Wales marking the Gallery’s 150-year anniversary was published in 2021. He appreciates the many links between the Gallery and the Society.

Do join us to celebrate the Society’s 2022 Award winners and enjoy the ambiance of the Meers Hall and Sculpture Garden in Sydney Modern. Pre-dinner drinks will begin at 6.30pm before dinner at 7.00pm. Please note that the dress code is black tie.
